Shutdown Module

The shutdown module enables users to assign different costs to specific materials, labours and custom costs of allocated activities. The shutdown module has 5 different tabs: Shutdown, Allocation, Materials, Labour and Custom Costs.

 

Shutdown Tab


The shutdown tab lets you create, edit and delete shutdown items. When creating a shutdown item there are several fields that can be filled out:

  • Shutdown Description (Mandatory): This is the name given to the shutdown item.
  • Project Code: Add a Project Code.
  • Cost Centre Code: Add a Cost Centre Code.
  • Budget Type: Use this field to select between Not Budgeted, Capital Cost and Opex cost to associate the cost to a specific Budget type.
  • Start Date: Use this field to determine when the shutdown will begin.

 

Materials, Labour and Custom Costs


These screens all have the same functions but is used for each different allocation of resources or costs respectively to their name.

Select what shutdown you want the changes to be applied to in the dropdown located at the top of the module. Once selected, all the shutdowns applied to the respective tab will be shown. You are able to add new shutdowns for each tab by selecting the Create New button.

 

Materials


When creating a new shutdown for a Material you can change the quantity needed by adjusting the Quantity field when adding new material. This can also be edited later.

 

Labours


When creating a new shutdown for a Labour you can change the Work (Hours) and the Personnel Required by adjusting the respective fields when adding a new Labour. This can also be edited later.

 

Custom Costs


When creating a new custom cost to be applied to the shutdown you have multiple fields that can be edited for each custom cost. These fields are:

  • Cost Description
  • Expense Element
  • Cost Type
  • Activity Cost
  • Total Cost
  • Quantity
  • Customisable Custom Fields

Once saved, the custom costs will be applied to the allocated Shutdown.

The Allocation screen lets users select which shutdown they want to apply to an activity or a project cost. You can filter the activities and project costs by allocated and unallocated or view all of them at once. You can also apply multiple filters by selecting the Filters button next to the date range.
