Within the packaging module, you can also modify and export documents associated with a package.
Document
The Document tab allows you to add information towards the package. This includes Job Preparation, Post Shutdown Notes and assign any Signatories. You can adjust the ordering of the activities to create a workflow process. Also provides ability to create groups, and group activities into the groups.
- Job Preparation: Provide details about any additional preparations that must be made prior to maintenance.
- Post Shutdown: Provide details about any additional preparations that must be made after/post maintenance activities.
The process of modifying documents is demonstrated in the video tutorial below:
PRT Export
PRT’s (Production Resource Tool) are movable operating resources that are required to perform an activity and can be used repeatedly. The PRT Export tab allows you to export the selected item into a document that can be easily viewed and used outside of Orien.
To export a PRT:
- Ensure that the Grid View is enabled by going into the Display Options dropdown and then selecting Grid View.
-
Select the appropriate item from the list, and then click on the Export Selected button and then Default on the operation you wish to export.
-
This will start an export in the background of the program. Select View Generated Documents to view the exported document.
- Click on the Download link to access the exported document. To find previous documents that have been exported, navigate to your Document Library (refer the article on Generated Documents).
The process of exporting a PRT document is also demonstrated in the video tutorial below:
PRT Export - Assembly References
PRTs can be exported from Assembly References alongside the Assembly itself. Exporting the PRT from the reference includes reference-specific details such as the Reference's Location Description, Location Code, and Component Codes. These values should all be unique to the reference.
This function enables CMMS without a General Task List or a similar concept to export the same PRT file for multiple assets easily. Simply go to the reference, select Packaging, and then the PRT Export tab. There is a column called Is Library Operation, this identifies the Operations from the Assembly.
Export the PRT the exact same as you would for a non-referenced Operation and the PRT will contain reference-specific details such as the reference Asset description or any component Measurement codes.
